What is Advance Notice?
Advance Notice is an online application that allows Advance to communicate significant product changes to our customers. It was developed from a request by large OEMs as a way to notify them of form, fit and function changes to our products. It is perfect for gaining advance knowledge on changes that may affect you in the near future.
What types of product changes are posted?
Advance Notice will display basic form, fit and/or function changes to our products that may affect the customers who purchase them. Changes generally include when a product may becoming obsolete, lead length changes, size/dimensional changes, product enhancements, etc...
Currently, users can register for any of the three product categories for notification:
- Fluorescent products
- HID products
- LED drivers
What's NOT posted?
General ECO changes (unless they affect form, fit and/or function), corrections to typographical errors, documentation changes, minor changes that don't affect the form, fit and/or function criteria, any proprietary or confidential information, etc...
How does this benefit me?
One of the biggest benefits is the ability to be notified early on about any product changes or updates that are taking place with Advance products. This allows our customers and sales representatives to prepare for any upcoming changes to their lighting products or business processes.
Buyers or purchasing agents can benefit by advance notification of changes to products so they can adjust buying patterns, engineers and designers benefit from notification on physical changes to our products so they can plan fixture changes, sales agents benefit by being able to prepare communication to their customers who purchase the products being updated.
How often is Advance Notice updated?
As often as needed. Advance Notice is is a real-time notification system so the minute we make a change that affects our customers we add the notification online.
Why do I have to register? How will you use my personal information?
Registration allows Advance to view who is requesting notification an be proactive in identifying specific customers that we may need to contact directly if we know that a specific change may have a big impact on them. Be assured that we DO NOT sell or otherwise use personal information outside of the strict Privacy Policy we follow. Please view our Privacy Policy for more information.
Do I have to always receive email notification?
No. When users register they can opt out of email notifications. In doing this users can only log in and view the notifications online. You can always modify your profile and chose to receive email notifications at any time if you like. Just log in and click the Change Profile link.
